I created the original ink and watercolor painting for “April in Paris Encore” from a photograph my husband took while in a taxi stopped in traffic on the iconic Pont Alexandre III, years ago. Now this evocative image is a best-seller and favorite with Francophiles, along with a memory of a rainy day in Paris.
And there’s a secret ingredient — along with watercolor and deep black Chinese ink, I used broux de noix — walnut stain crystals mixed with water. (Apropos, I purchased the broux de noix in Paris.)
Reproduced from my original watercolor and ink “April in Paris Encore” is printed on high-quality paper.
